FrankWell, this blog is really not just about me, it is more importantly a showcase of 21st century teachers from near and far. These are teachers and educators that are motivating, engaging, sharing, learning, teaching, and constantly moving with the times. These are teachers that are dedicated to the art and mastery of teaching and learning for today and tomorrow. They are part of my personal learning network. These are social networkers, bloggers, twitterers, feed aggregators, podcasters, vodcasters, and more. So, welcome to The 21st Century Teacher :: Faces of Web 2.0. Here you will find a virtual passage to some of the most interesting content, people and resources on the Web today. Enjoy!

Now a little about me. I am the Director of an “Asesoría Lingüística” university program in Morelia, Mexico. I work collaboratively with administrators and teachers to update English programs, methodologies, and practices in EFL classrooms. I hold a Cambridge ESOL award for the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). Additionally, I am an online English tutor in my spare time; please visit my eduFire.com profile.

I am retired (early, hehe) from the University of California and have a background in English as a second/foreign language instruction, diversity awareness education, group dynamics and facilitation, conflict management and mediation, and Web 2.0 technology implementation. I helped to develop the Santa Fe Community Facilitation Corps in New Mexico to grow “Communicative Communities” under funding from the Kellogg Foundation.

I am also the creator of META, Mexico English Teachers’ Alliance, an online teacher network and resource for innovative EFL educators concerned about technology and inquiry-based learning environments. Besides living in Morelia, I have also lived for many years in Zacatecas and Guadalajara. My motto is “Re-imagine the future of learning… starting today!”

That’s it!
