- kolson29: night all and happy 4th o' July a bit early :-) I get to go help a mom install a filter on her computer at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow - must rest!
- kolson29: @VelveteenMind oooooh, what'd you get?
- kolson29: @jonbecker if that - it's nothing really new at ALL - maybe not popular, but not really new. show me something better :-)
- kolson29: @GrammarGirl just pre-ordered your book and am going to blog about it - can't wait to read it!
- kolson29: @jonbecker have to say it's not clicking with me, but maybe I just haven't pondered it enough?
- kolson29: @dmcordell told my husband that I wore a sweater more in New Orleans (on yr advice, btw! thanks!) than in the last month in Wisconsin!
- kolson29: @dmcordell ha, that's what I'm doing right now! kids are in bed, house a mess, I'm "working" :-)
- kolson29: @astrout @dmcordell beat ya - it's 60 here right now :-) LOVE getting to open windows at night! oh, & we don't have AC in our 100+ yo house
- kolson29: @dmcordell re: AC - that's the EXACT way I felt about New Orleans - i'm a fresh air girl, hate the frigid fake air & drastic temp changes
- kolson29: @dmcordell lol, well, at least it's DIFFERENT than the school year :-) that's the glory of living on a school calendar, shakes things up!

I blog about education because it helps me reflect and plan. The support of readers is always wonderful, but it’s really the process of reflection and analyzing my actions that makes blogging so powerful. It helps me work out teaching strategies and especially helps me restructure lessons for the next time I’ll teach them. Knowing that others are reading helps me watch my writing style and technique, which is a really important skill to keep fresh as an educator.
